Recap
Match Summary
A very comfortable win for the Storm against a weak Chiltern team. In the absence of 4 players through a combination of injury and holiday Silvia Tugnoli stepped up and made an excellent debut
Coach Skinner’s assessment
The first game of the season and we were a little bit anxious and forcing things at the start. Once we settled into the game our total dominance began to be converted into points. The most effective way to score was to get the ball inside so no surprise that Becky and Jenny lead the points with 26 and 24 respectively. Becky’s score included an impressive 8 out of 9 free shots. We could have won by more but it was good that the team resisted the temptation to just run up a big score and worked on things for future games.
Key Stat
One other interesting stat. We only conceded 6 fouls while the refs blew 22 against Chiltern
