Jags lose in OT; Lemmings lose game and Dec Petley at Windsor; all other games off
The Jags played out a thriller against Woodley Thunder – only for the home side to tie it up with a buzzer beater, and then go on to win by 7 in OT. The Jags next action is on Tuesday (10th December) at the Beacon Centre against the South Bucks Comets in the Karl Taylor Cup.
The Lemmings lost 38-68 to the Windsor Warriors, but also lost recent acquisition Dec Petley when he suffered an agonising achilles injury. The Lemmings game against Swindon Shock was called off as Wellington College closed to up-grade their car park. Their next action is on Tuesday 17th December when they will travel down the M4 to take on the Swindon Silverbacks.
A recent stats up-date shows Callum Harvey leading the Lemmings scorers with 13.2 points per game, followed by Gareth Hill with 10.3 and Steve Metson with 8. As a team they have recorded an average of 41% from the charity stripe. Leading the foul shooters is Justin ‘Hot Shot’ Hopley with 100%, followed by Gavin Baker on 60% and Steve Metson on 59%.
The Falcons did not play the Cobras Kai as this game also fell victim to the car park renovations. The Falcons next action is in the new year when they will travel to Wycombe High School to take on Chiltern Fastbreak on Thursday 9th January 2020.
The Storm have suffered another cancellation; after taking a 20-0 win over Bournemouth their game with Southampton was called off. The Storm close out 2019 with a trip to Winchester City Royals on Thursday 12th December.
The Suns had their fixture against Aldworth Arrows Academy called off, leaving them gameless until next year when they travel to the John Madejski Academy to play the Reading Rockets on Monday 13th January 2020.
